Automotive Program Manager (Performance Leader)
Important Notes
- This is a hybrid, field-based role with a Monday–Friday schedule, including approximately 13 days per month in the territory (about 65% travel) and 7 days working remotely. The role also includes time off during major holidays, including one week during Christmas.
- Territory coverage includes the Florida market (excluding the Panhandle), with additional travel to the Georgia coast through Hilton Head.
- The role supports approximately 60 dealer locations across the territory.
- This position offers a base salary plus monthly performance-based incentives.
- Prior experience in a car rental or automotive dealership environment is required, with hands-on exposure to Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) programs. Candidates without this background will not be considered.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a people-focused leader with a passion for training, coaching, and developing teams. You bring hands-on experience from the car rental and/or dealership environment, including Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) operations and multi-location support.
You lead by example, build strong relationships, and identify challenges while offering practical solutions. You are comfortable working across rental, fleet, and CPO programs and understand how these functions impact performance and profitability.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a Performance Leader, you will partner with car rental leadership, dealership stakeholders, and frontline sales teams across your assigned territory.
You will manage client relationships while providing hands-on coaching and field support, balancing time in the field with dedicated remote work for planning and reporting.
HOW YOU WILL DO IT
You will oversee associate training and development and drive performance across multiple rental branches and CPO-supported dealership operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing rental car and CPO operational processes
Building relationships with client and dealership leadership
Driving revenue through training and frontline development
Supporting CPO program execution and performance improvement
Managing inventory, utilization, and operational reporting
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
3+ years of car rental and/or dealership CPO experience
2+ years of leadership experience
Experience managing customer-facing operations, budgets, and P&L
Strong communication and decision-making skills
Proven ability to coach and develop teams
Working knowledge of sales, inventory, and performance reporting systems
